Everlasting Rock, the Cornerstone.
A refuge and hope for an uncertain world.
Isaiah 26:3-4 WEB ~ You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace,
because he trusts in you. 4 Trust in Yahweh forever; for in Yah, Yahweh, is an everlasting Rock.
Psalm 62:6-7 ~He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory;
The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.
“I know of nothing which so stimulated my faith in my heavenly Father as to look back and reflect on His faithfulness to me in every crisis and every chilling circumstance of life.” ~ W. Phillip Keller
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. ~Psalm 18:2
With Trusting the Lord, comes the importance of understanding His will. A key factor in the believer’s walk is the continuing importance of forgiveness. It’s God’s best for us, and for good reason. We can learn from the mouths of babes. Kids can talk a lot before being put to bed, sometimes we think it’s just to delay bedtime to stay up longer. Kids are also our teachers. In the story of a little 3 year old girl fussing over stuffed animals, her Mom said firmly, “I love you, and not another word tonight.” But the little girl had one more thing to say. “Mommy I forgive you.” Her Mom didn’t even know she knew the word forgive. So in asking what she meant, she said, “you were wrong, and I’m tired of being mad, and now I’m going to sleep and my heart won’t have a tummy ache.”
We don’t condone someone’s actions when we forgive, it takes the fury from our heart so our heart won’t ache. This is possible because of the work of Christ on the cross. His heart of compassion and forgiveness for those who nailed him there at the cross is His example of love and forgiveness.
~lesson inspired from David Jeremiah, Strength for Today (daily devotional).
God knows our hearts, He knows what we need, He knows the future and what is best for us. Trust God, not men. The source of truth, love, creation, all knowing, power, might, strength, there is nothing too hard for God. He has order and His timing is perfect. God is sovereign over every heart. It is God’s will that we forgive often and as many times as we ought to. Keeping our hearts free from hurt, pain and sorrow, in Trusting what he has said about forgiveness.
Be encouraged, man can not save us and government can not save us. Our hope should be in the one who created the heavens, the earth and everything therein. Sometimes we learn from the mouths of babes.. teaching us, many times, our Mother’s teach us, but the one who knows all things and truth and cares for our salvation is Christ the Lord, the one true living God. Lord over all (Acts10:36), King of kings and Lord of lords. He is worthy of all our praise!

Matthew 7:25-29 KJV ~And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. 28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: 29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
God Bless us where ever we are!
